Manjerico has been very cooperative up to now and takes enthusiastic pleasure to his work. As he is still very young, I try not to let him work too hard also to keep his trust in me. Right in terms of the HDV 12 (Heeresdienstvorschrift 12) we will enjoy the late summer sunshine together and do some light work outside of the schooling area.
Going up- and downhill not only trains his balance and skills but strengthens the thrust in his hindquarters. A rhythmic trot cross country should never be underestimated as a fundamental basis for good collection later on.
I continue using the bitless bridle until his wolf teeth have been done. This is no problem as it is my opinion that discipline cannot be a question of the bridle.
